Privacy Policy

This page explains what data this site collects, why, and how you can control it. It applies to blog.smallworksjp.com.

Who runs this site

This blog is published by SmallWorks, a small software business based in Japan. It documents self-hosting, AI agent engineering, and home server experiments. You can reach us at [email protected].

Comments

When you leave a comment, the site stores the content of the comment, the name and email address you provide, and your IP address. This is used to display the comment and to detect spam. Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognised automatically.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt in to storing your name and email address in cookies so that you do not have to fill them in again. These cookies last for one year. If you log in to the site, additional cookies are set to keep your session; these are removed when you log out.

Advertising and third parties

This site may display advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Embedded content from other sites

Articles may include embedded content such as videos or code examples hosted elsewhere. Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that website, and those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with that content.

Hosting and infrastructure

This site is self-hosted on our own hardware in Japan and is served through Cloudflare, which acts as a reverse proxy. Cloudflare may process connection metadata such as IP addresses in order to route traffic and protect the site.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and you can ask us to erase it. Send the request to [email protected]. We cannot erase data we are required to keep for legal or security purposes.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page.
